ENTER THE GAME

As a Web Frontend Architect, you will join the team led by our Head of Frontend, Théo Ben Hassen ( and support a tribe in its growth and architectural decisions.

You will be the quality gatekeeper for Betclic's largest web product, where many major technical initiatives are ready to be launched. To achieve this, you'll work closely with various cross-functional teams, be tightly connected to production, and collaborate directly with the CTO to help shape a clear and ambitious vision.

You will tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions and high-quality execution. You'll be responsible for defining a long-term architectural strategy that will enable us to deliver the best possible experience for our players.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC

In this role, your main missions will be: 

• Drive the architectural strategy across our web applications
  
• Advise the Head of Frontend, Heads of Engineering, and the CTO to improve both the platform and the overall organizational structure
  
• Work with one of our dedicated domains on feature implementation
  
• Communicate and keep stakeholders informed throughout the process
  
• Collaborate with our Mobile and Web Architecture teams to ensure strong cross-platform synergy

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You have 10+ years of experience in Web development (React, Angular, etc.) and are a JavaScript and Front-End expert
• You have a deep understanding of client-server architecture in web environments, with a proven track record of architectural impact
• You communicate effectively and confidently with leadership (CTO, VPs), positively influencing strategic decisions*
• You mentor developers and demonstrate strong technical leadership
• You're experienced working with large codebases and live production applications
• You are proficient with Git and version control tools
• You have experience managing and deploying production releases

Nice to have:

• You have experience with Swift or Kotlin 
• You've worked on cross-platform development (React Native, Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform)
• You actively contribute to community or open-source platforms

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?

If your application is selected, you will be contacted by Marine or Mathilde within a week for an initial HR pre-screening (30 minutes).
You will then be asked to complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation, and reasoning).
Next, you'll meet with Théo, Head of Front Platform, followed by Lionel, VP Engineering, and Benoit, CTO.
Finally, Marine or Mathilde will meet with you for a final HR interview, during which you'll review and discuss your AssessFirst results.
To provide the best candidate experience, Betclic's recruitment process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks.
