HR & Payroll Coordinator

We're excited to be recruiting for a HR & Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR administrator, perfect for someone passionate about payroll accuracy, data integrity, and supporting the full employee lifecycle in a fast-paced environment .

You'll be responsible for supporting payroll processing, maintaining accurate colleague data, and providing operational HR support across the full employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Payroll Support

• Support the Payroll Manager in preparing and processing monthly payroll
• Verify timesheets, overtime, and approved leave
• Maintain accurate payroll records and colleague data
• Ensure payroll deadlines are met in coordination with Finance
• Process payroll updates (starters, leavers, contractual changes)
• Respond to payroll queries and escalate where necessary
• Generate payroll reports and update time & attendance systems

HR Administration

• Support the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, probation, changes, offboarding)
• Maintain up-to-date records in HR systems
• Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation
• Conduct onboarding checks and ensure compliance (e.g., right-to-work)
• Coordinate new starters with Payroll
• Ensure GDPR and legal compliance in all HR activities

Benefits Administration

• Manage and update employee benefit data (health insurance, pension, etc.)
• Communicate changes with providers
• Maintain accurate benefit records and track eligibility
• Conduct regular audits of benefits data

Compliance & Reporting

• Support HR and payroll audits by preparing required documentation
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies
• Assist with reporting and ensure adherence to deadlines
• Contribute to People projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About you

• Previous experience in an HR and/or payroll coordination role
• Strong administrative and data management skills with high attention to detail
• Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems
• Good knowledge of confidentiality, GDPR, and employment regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
