ENTER THE GAME

As the head of the testing strategy, you will report to the Head of Developer Experience and be responsible for defining and evolving QA strategies while guiding teams towards a model where quality is fully integrated into engineering.

You will also play a key role in transforming QA Engineers into strategic partners for developers, fostering the development of their skills and their gradual integration into engineering teams.

Your ability to influence, collaborate, and drive change will be essential to the success of this mission.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC 

In this role, your main missions will be:

QA Support & Transformation:

• Establish a structured QA model
• Develop and implement a learning and mentoring program to improve the skills of QA and engineers regarding best testing practices
• Define the roles and responsibilities of QA, developers, POs, and Engineering Managers in the testing strategy

Strategic Leadership:

• Define, refine, and drive the QA strategy, ensuring that practices produce measurable results
• Clearly communicate updates and information regarding quality progress and its impact to the CTO and Management Committee
• Identify gaps in quality processes and develop improvement plans in partnership with Engineering Managers
• Provide technical solutions to Test Data Management challenges and advanced testing requirements

Quality Partner for Engineering Teams:

• Work closely with Engineering Managers to integrate quality at the heart of the development cycle
• Define and promote robust and scalable testing methodologies tailored to product teams
• Foster the adoption of CI/CD best practices focused on quality by facilitating test automation and industrialization

Quality Ownership & Measurement:

• Establish and track key quality indicators to measure the impact of QA initiatives and ensure accountability within teams
• Set up Quality Dashboards to monitor testing effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
• Use a data-driven approach to analyze, prioritize, and resolve quality issues

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm! 

This job is for you if: 

• You have a strong background in computer engineering
• You have 8 years or more of experience in software engineering environments
• You have experience working in complex technical ecosystems, including web, mobile, desktop, backend services
• You have experience working in a scaling environment
• You have experience conducting end-to-end quality testing for complex domains
• You have proven leadership experience, having developed and implemented comprehensive QA strategies while mentoring teams
• You have hands-on experience as a software engineer and are comfortable with code
• You are proficient in French and English to collaborate effectively with international teams

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS

If your application is shortlisted, Sébastien will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening (30 minutes).

Then, you will complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation and cognitive reasoning).

Next, you will meet Julien, our Head of Developer Experience, and Lionel, VP Engineer.

You will have a technical discussion with a Senior/Staff member of the team.

Finally, Sébastien will conduct a final HR interview to review your AssessFirst results together.
