Game Director

Are you an experienced Game Director with a proven track record of shipping successful titles and leading creative teams from vision to launch?We are hiring a Game Director to define and drive the creative vision of an established game project. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping the overall game direction, strengthening design strategy, and overseeing production in collaboration with cross-functional teams.About the role... As Game Director, you will be accountable for the game’s vision and player experience. You will translate creative ambition into clear mechanics, systems, and production priorities, ensuring alignment across design, production, publishing, and marketing.You will lead the game design discipline while maintaining close collaboration with creative and production leadership to deliver milestones on time and at quality.What we're looking for:Game vision and creative directionDefine and evolve the overall game design directionTranslate the creative vision into gameplay mechanics, systems, and player experienceEnsure coherence between core systems, progression, and content designStrengthen the strategic positioning of the game within its genre and marketProduction leadershipCollaborate with the Creative Director to define milestones and production prioritiesOversee project planning while enabling team autonomyAlign design decisions with production constraints and timelinesMaintain quality standards throughout developmentTeam leadership and collaborationLead and mentor the game design teamSupport the development of core features including game rules and progression systemsPromote best practices across the production processFoster a collaborative and motivating creative environmentCross-functional alignmentWork closely with publishing and marketing teams on scheduling and communicationEnsure the player experience vision is reflected in external positioning and messagingRepresent the game’s creative direction across internal stakeholdersWhat we’re looking for:ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in Game DesignAt least 2 years in a Lead Game Designer, Game Director, Creative Director, or Design Director roleExperience as a Lead Game Designer on at least 2 shipped titlesStrong background designing systems and content, ideally within licensed or high-visibility projectsSkillsClear and compelling vision for player experienceStrong understanding of production pipelines and development constraintsAbility to balance creativity with delivery pragmatismExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to align and inspire multidisciplinary creative teamsWhy join:Lead the creative direction of a high-profile game projectJoin a collaborative studio environment with strong team cultureCompetitive benefits package including health coverage and meal vouchersRelocation support availableWork from a central studio location in BordeauxSalaryUp to 75,000 (EUR) per annumIf you’re a driven Game Director who can unite creative ambition with production excellence and deliver memorable player experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
