Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Partner with developers, architects, product managers, and engineering managers embedded in authentication, identity, and payment squads.
• Conduct secure design reviews and threat modeling and provide actionable security recommendations.
• Assess source code, APIs, existing implementations, and security controls for vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities.
• Identify realistic attack paths and validate them through controlled security testing or proof-of-concept exercises.
• Promote secure development practices and reusable security patterns and support implementation of security improvements.
• Propose, lead, and contribute to security initiatives across authentication and payment ecosystems.
• Collaborate with the wider Security organization, including Blue Teams, Red Teams, Compliance, and Fraud teams.

Requirements

• Experience in cybersecurity focused on securing applications or digital products.
• Experience working directly with Product and Engineering teams in an agile environment.
• Ability to analyze security architecture and implementation details.
• Understanding of modern authentication and identity security principles.
• Proactive approach to identifying, proposing, and driving security improvements.
• Effective communication with developers, architects, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Fluency in English.
• Interest in payment security and fraud prevention; prior experience in these areas is not required.
• Experience with web and API security.
• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure is a plus but is not required.
