ENTER THE GAME

As a Product Owner – Data Intelligence, you will join the Sportsbook Platform organization, with a specific focus on Trading Intelligence tools used by our internal trading teams.

Your mission is to own and evolve platforms that support trading decision-making through data, monitoring, and intelligence tools. You will work closely with Traders, Product Managers, Engineers, and Data teams to ensure reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical internal systems.

You will work daily with your Engineering Manager, forming a strong delivery duo.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC

In this role, your main missions will be:

Product Ownership & Strategy

• Own the product delivery for trading intelligence tools, balancing maintenance needs with strategic enhancements

• Collaborate closely with Traders, Product Managers, and Engineers to understand system requirements and translate them into product features

• Ensure tools integrate seamlessly within the broader Trading Intelligence ecosystem

Discovery & Delivery

• Conduct user research with traders and technical stakeholders to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for workflow improvements

• Define clear user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring backlog items meet Definition of Ready before sprint planning

• Lead sprint planning, prioritize the backlog using frameworks like MoSCoW, and coordinate delivery with your engineering squad

• Anticipate dependencies with other squads to secure delivery timelines

Platform Performance & Optimization

• Define and track KPIs that measure tool effectiveness and system performance

• Implement structured data tracking and work with Data Science teams to derive insights for continuous product improvement

• Ensure product quality, documentation, and adherence to internal best practices

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work daily with your Engineering Manager as a delivery duo, alongside Traders, Data Science, and Product teams

• Transform complex, sometimes conflicting inputs from stakeholders into clear, actionable product plans

• Support users through platform changes, ensuring smooth adoption of new capabilities

Incident Management & RUN

• Prioritize and manage production incidents, working with engineering to resolve issues quickly

• Balance RUN activities with BUILD initiatives to maintain platform stability while driving innovation

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm!

This job is for you if:

Experience & Background

• You have a background in Engineering/Business School with a Master's degree (BAC+5) or equivalent

• You have at least 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner, ideally working on internal platforms, B2B tools, or data-intensive systems

• Experience in fintech, trading, sports betting, or regulated industries is a plus

Product Skills

• You have a strong Product culture and master Discovery, Delivery, Product Strategy, and prioritization frameworks

• You're comfortable working on platforms where data accuracy and operational reliability are critical

• You understand how to balance technical debt, maintenance, and feature development

• You're data-driven and know how to measure product impact through KPIs and user feedback

Technical Understanding

• You can discuss technical topics confidently with engineering teams (back-end systems, APIs, data pipelines)

• You understand the fundamentals of data processing, integration systems, and monitoring architectures without needing to be a developer

• You're comfortable working with complex data flows and multi-source systems

Collaboration & Communication

• You excel at transforming ambiguous or conflicting stakeholder inputs into clear product requirements

• You have excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build trust with technical and non-technical teams

• You're comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders

• You speak English fluently (French is a plus!)

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?

If your application is shortlisted:

•If your application is shortlisted, our recruiter will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening (30 minutes). Then, you will complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation and cognitive reasoning).

• You will then meet Mario, Head of Product.

• Next, you will meet Mathieu, Engineering Manager.

• You will then meet Francesco, Head of Product.

• Finally, Benoit will conduct a final HR interview.

The recruitment process usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, depending on availability.
