Tech teams at Betclic are organized around agile development principles and are structured into autonomous Squads and Tribes, each responsible for a specific functional and technical domain.

By joining one of our Betclic teams, you'll become part of a Fullstack team where you'll enjoy the autonomy to grow by working alongside Backend and Frontend developers, testers, and other complementary skillsets.

As a Data Engineer, you will join the Data Fabric team, composed of Data Ops, Data Engineers, ML Ops, and an Architect. The team's role is to ensure the availability of the data platform and to implement tools and best practices around data.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC

In this role, your main missions will be:

Data modeling and transformation — Design and maintain data models following a medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold) using dbt, and structure their exposition in the data warehouse to make them consumable by business teams.

Data pipeline orchestration — Develop and operate data pipelines with Airflow, ensuring reliability through monitoring and incident resolution.

Data visualization support — Feed and evolve business dashboards in collaboration with Product Owners and Data Analysts.

Data governance — Contribute to data retention, quality, and contracts between domains.

Cost optimization and observability — Monitor and optimize cloud data costs (FinOps), and maintain pipeline observability through dashboards and alerting.

Architecture and workflow contributions — Propose and contribute to improvements on the team's software architecture, development practices, and tooling.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm! 

This apprenticeship is for you if: 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree (Bac+4/5) in Software Development, you have gained initial experience (internship or academic project) as a Data Engineer.
• You are eager to grow within a dynamic team and an agile environment.
• You are curious, self-reliant, and have a strong desire to learn.

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?

If your application is selected, Maxime will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening call (30 minutes).
You will then be invited to complete the AssessFirst test (covering personality, motivations, and cognitive abilities).

Next, you'll meet with your future manager for a technical and team-fit interview.
Finally, you'll have a final HR interview with Maxime, where you'll also review and discuss your AssessFirst results together.

To ensure a smooth and candidate-friendly experience, the Betclic recruitment process typically takes between 4 to 6 weeks.
